Update

We have been rehearsing quite a few new songs in recent weeks. One
of the band wasn't well for a while so this caused problems with booking any
gigs. He's fine now so the dates of the next gigs will be posted on Facebook and
this website as soon as they are confirmed.

Konrad are also going to be recording an album with new songs and
some of the old songs re- worked. We can't wait to get started on that. Its all

News Update

We are in the process of rehearsing up new songs to put into the set. They are going to be brill. Sax practice is going well but I am still in awe of anyone who can play this instrument well. Its one of the hardest but most rewarding things I've ever done. When I practice and then take the piece to play with the full band, there's no feeling like it.

Real Ale and Music Festival in Braco - report

Konrad had a fantastic gig at the Real Ale and Music Festival in Braco. The audience were brilliant and danced the night away. The response from people really made the might. The comments were great and the energy from the band poured out into the audience.Only one change of shirt for Davy and Gary on drums. Probably all lost half a stone with sweat. No sorry, they guys were sweating, I was glistening. NOT?

The Big Widstock Music Festival 2010

We had a great time playing at the Big Widstock Music Festival on the 31st July. It was a great day with a variety of music. Good day was had by all. Fraser Leggat took the place of Magnus, our bass player. Magnus was away on holiday. Photographs will be on the website very soon. The next gig we are aiming for is the Braco Real Ale and Music Festival. The regular Konrad line-up will be playing from about 9pm - 11pm on Saturday 21st August. The whole day kicks off about 3pm. Watch this space for a video up-date.

Old Arcade

The acoustic version of Konrad played in the Old Arcade, Stirling last Friday night at a celebration of the Old Alhambra Theatre. Davy, Frank and myself did our best to entertain the very appreciative crowd. It was a Variety evening with music from Miniature Dinosaurs performance art, silent movies, and an art exhibition. Its was a busy night and all who were there really enjoyed themselves. Variety is indeed the spice of life.

Ashfield Last Saturday

We had a great gig in Ashfield last Saturday. Everyone had a blast. Konrad were on form. I asked some advice on playing from Bruce, the Sax player with Sourmash Blues Band. When I saw the instruments that he had with him, I have to say I thought, AAAHH !!!. Can I really play in front of him. He's been doing it, amazingly well for years. But I did and he was very complimentary. A good confidence booster.
Its also good that Whistle Binkies in Edinburgh want us to go back in August. Can't wait.

What's coming up ?

On 18th June between 6-8 pm, Konrad have been asked to take part in a multi-arts event in Old Arcade in Stirling. Its the site of the old Alhambra Theatre. Its a celebration with Variety as the theme. Artists, performance art and music. Konrad are doing an acoustic set.More info will follow nearer the time. Come and share the experience with us.

One of the new songs that he was writing is now finished. Its brill. We'll start to rehearse that one next week.
